A good holiday with a dog starts with a plan that works for both people and pets. From Kaštelir, you can combine time in the countryside with trips towards the coast around Poreč. Keep your itinerary flexible: a short walk, a quiet lunch and time to rest can be more enjoyable than trying to fit several attractions into one day.
Choose a beach with a designated dog area
Check the rules for the particular beach you want to visit, rather than assuming that every stretch of coast allows dogs. The Poreč tourist board lists D’Or beach with an area reserved for pets. That makes its official beach page a useful starting point when planning a day by the sea.
Bring drinking water, a bowl, a lead and a towel for your dog. Look at the access route and shade before settling in, and follow the signs on site. A beach listing helps you choose where to go; it cannot tell you how busy, hot or suitable that beach will be on your particular day.
Prepare the journey and leave room for breaks
Before travelling, check the official EU pet-travel guidance for your starting country and route. The documents and arrangements you need depend on the journey. Give yourself time to clarify those details before departure.
Plan regular stops and keep the first day at your destination simple. Pack familiar food and bedding so your dog has a comfortable place to rest. For longer excursions, think through where your dog can accompany you and where you may need to change your plans.
Include your dog in the accommodation inquiry
When you contact Villa Gloria, select your preferred accommodation and dates, then mention your dog in the form. Add any details that matter to your stay, such as the number and size of pets or a specific access requirement.
Wieland will review the request personally. Ask him to confirm the current pet arrangements, any applicable charge and the suitability of the outdoor areas before agreeing your stay. Submitting the form is a non-binding inquiry; a selectable date in the calendar is not a confirmed reservation.
